MC4 connectors are single-contact electrical connectors commonly used for connecting solar panels. MC4s allow strings of panels to be easily constructed by pushing the connectors from adjacent panels together by hand, but require a tool to disconnect them to ensure they do not accidentally disconnect when the cables are pulled. The MC4 and compatible products are universal in the solar market today, equipping almost all solar panels produced since about 2011. Originally rated for 600 V, newer versions are rated at 1500 V, which allows longer strings to be created.
Ylong offers the most comprehensive portfolio of Type 1 and Type 2 surge protective devices that can be externally or internally mounted. They help reduce costly downtime while protecting sensitive electronic equipment against damaging effects of transients caused by lightning, utility load switching, internal load switching, and more.
In general, DC surge protection can provide significant benefits and advantages, especially in scenarios where the equipment is sensitive to voltage fluctuations or where there is a high risk of power surges. Benefits of DC Surge Protection Protection of Sensitive Equipment: Many electronic devices, especially those using DC power supplies, are sensitive to voltage fluctuations. Power surges […]
DC Surge protective device, protect against lightning surge voltages in solar system (photovoltaic power supply system). These units must be installed in parallel on the DC networks to be protected and provide common and different modes protection. Its installed location are recommended at both ends of the DC power supply line (solar panel side and incerter/converter […]
